Hi Kerry-Ann and Welcome, I also have a cat and dogs with all my birds. The cat is more scared of the birds than anything else. :D She was a bit braver with the baby of the flock, Kito who was only 8 weeks old when I brought him home. Now that he is flying she stays well clear. The cats will get used to Zookie and as long as they're not left alone with him everything should be fine. We love pics here so as soon as he comes home get some pics posted ............................... please. :D

Ohhhh he is so beautiful, We'll have to see lots more as he grows up. :D Your gonna have so much fun when he comes home.

Zookie is a very pretty conure!!! Love the color in the tail feathers. I have a cat home and she is afraid of my senegal (the senegal chases her and bites her) I just introduced them and kept a very close eye on the cat until I learned she was afriad. They get along great and Popsicle will preen Luna's (cat) whiskers. Be very careful especially if your bird isn't clipped.

Can't wait to see some more pictures!!!

Green Cheeks are soooo sweet, and sooo tiny. They are a great addition to a flock, and a great first bird! You will be happily owned by your new friend! Christy and I saw a bunch of baby green cheeks two weeks ago, along with a couple of baby sunnies ... we would have been putty in their talons if we had played with them, so we didn't.

Welcome to the forum, your baby will make a great addition to our flock!

hi Kerry:) welcome to the forum. I am Hamlet's mom. We just got him a couple months ago even though it feels like forever! Your little conure looks very cute! When you bring him home, just remember that he will be nervous and not know whats going on, so give him some space and slowly intorduce him to everything. you should get along great!

finally get one its almost unbearable to wait !

Oh I know that feeling well. You are handling it great. I was a real winger as I'm sure everyone will tell ya. :D The waiting is by far the hardest part of it all.

Welcome to the forum Kerry-ann!!

I have two cats also, they don't pay Sisqo much attention ~ but I think that's because he's a decent size, and he was here before they were. However, we recently acquired two budgie's, and we have had a harder time keeping the cats away from their cage. I think it's because they're so fast and they fly around and make a lot of noise, so the cat's are drawn to them.

Conure's are pretty active and clownish generally, so I think your cats will be pretty entertained. What kind of personalitie's do your cats have? One of our cats is just 2 years old, and he's very playful and active...he's the one that we have to constantly pull down from the cage, but the other one is a little more laid back, and she just sniffs around the cage every once in a while.

well my booy cat pickles is uite the character. he's always chasing the girl cat around and trying to get at all the birds flying around outside, so im more so worried about him than the girl cat. the girl, Liddle, is more chill, she's quite the scaredy cat so im not toooo worried about her, i figure she'll be more intimidated by zookie. so im just hoping that with the help of a squirt bottle pickles will learn lol. sisqo is quite the looker by the way.

i think sun conures are soooo pretty. all the different colours, its like a fiesta ! hehe.
