Red Factor Sun Conure
I will be picking this little baby up June 11th when it is weaned and ready.

I can't wait, I've always been a bird lover and this red factor was so hard to find.

I've attached mom and dad as well. They are spectacular!

Oh how BEAUTIFUL!!

I saw your post, you will love the your black cap conure. At least that's what it looked like.

I used to own a greek cheek and he was just a wonderful bird. Unfortunately I couldn't separate him from the Ex-Wife so I left him where he wanted to be.

awh, bird's best interest :) I surely hope so! I'm in love with it already <3 and yes, it's a black cap ^^ I had initially gone in looking for a pineapple or yellow sided... but i just fell in love with the little bird haha. that fist connection is way more important than how the bird looks :D

Very beautiful birdy, are red factors a variation of suns? I find I'm very attracted to sun conures. They seem like real personalities.

The red factor suns are a human mutation originating from Hawaii. :)

I don't wanna burst any bubbles but if there charging you more please read this first.
I did TONS of research on this mutation as well all sun mutations. I thought Bella was a sfrf lol (single factor red factor). But she's in between the two. Considered a tangerine. Breeders claim there red factors all the time when there acually missing the extra suffusion of red. Leading them to a mix up of the 2. When he molts to his redder feathers there should be heavy pearling of red IF he's a mix between the 2.
If he molts to a full red plumage then you indeed have a sfrf sun conure. But your babies head looks to orange to be a full line. Looks just like Bella when she was a baby.
I'm not saying he's not a RF sun. But to menlooks to be lacking some red on the head

Read this link and this will tell you what you need to know. If the price is high you want to do research because like I said breeders are selling tangerines as red factors.

Aubrie's Animals: Red factor Sun Conures

Whatever he is, he is gorgeous and so are the parents. Suns are among my favorites when it comes to personality. They are like goofy little clowns.

YES THEY ARE!! They also have nice abitly to mimic speech.
Bella says a bit. It's so cute!! Can't wait to watch him grow. Sun babies are so cuddlie

They're very cute!!! Regardless what coloration they are! :)

Well, I guess we will see. Red suns are almost impossible to find.

Either way, I was going to go for a regular sun. If it's not one, it will have a loving owner regardless.

:red1:

That's not true. Red suns are more common then they were. For sure you have a baby that's is either RF or tangerine. Both are beautiful both are fun. Both are just as cuddlie as there normal colored cousin. I can't tell anything about him because he's still young.
Regaurdless he looks so cute and friendly. I just wanna scoop him up and give em kisses lol. The only reason I even pointed it out was so your not spending more than the original sun price usally is.

I think it depends on where you live. I have never seen a RFSC before, and have never seen them offered for sale around here. So to some people, they aren't that common.

Probably not in the area. None I'm my area either.
There throughout the states. That's what I mean by common.
There common thoughout the us.

Hi i am the breeder of these lovely birds. The male is single red factor. The female has red wash to her but is normal. The baby is a single red factor as well.

red factors are so beautiful, sun conures are one of the most spectacular birds in my opinion.

I was originally going to get a sun conure because of their personalities and beautiful colours, but when I met them at the breeders their screech was actually so ear piecing it hurt, lol.

My sun was suppost to be red factor but after his first molt i knew he wasn't luckly i didn't pay extra. I got him from the pet shop/ breeder for $300. I didn't care what color he turned out cause he picked me.

Red factor babies are born red. Not green. Only there wings and back is green there head and chest are red. At it intensifies as molts progress. I have a tangerine and she really orange. Not red. Also has the heavy pearling on her back. The baby here does look to appear RF but not as intense as the breeders I know of. Like the link iv posted above.
I think it's sad when people sell regular suns and tangerine suns as full blown RFs.
But the bbids head here appears to be a nice red and not orange. beautiful

Congrats on your baby sun, I love sun's, would love to have a sun but their screaming isn't suitable for where I am. boooo.
