My Neighbors

I'm not sure if it's the same pair (I think it is) but past few years they have nest outside my house. Though not always in the exact same location but close.
They're "mourning" dove which are pretty abundant in Texas.

There beautiful . Wish we had doves instead we have crows and a crazy cat the keeps trying to rip up our trash bags. I might have a talk with the owner.

How pretty! I love Mourning Doves, too. I have a pair that successfully raised 3 (!!) clutches this season alone. The young actually help raise subsequent clutches. Really neat to watch. And I LOVE the cooing they do. Many people around here don't like them, but I always welcome them in my shrubs and at my feeders.
