My Meyers Parrot needs a different home

Hi Everyone. I'm writing from the New Orleans area. I have a Meyers parrot, who after his cat buddy died, has not been the same. We used to have a great relationship, but over time, his aggression has become so that I can no longer handle him. He's the sweetest little thing. We used to be able to go everywhere together, but if I so much as talk to another person, he makes his way straight to my face and will latch on with so much anger. :( I've tried giving him alone time, by not handling him so much. I've tried doting, which ends in biting. It's been at least a year and a half. I've talked to my vet and other bird friends who've offered training suggestions, but nothing seems to work and the center of it seems to be me and the fact that Sailor (his kitty buddy) isn't there anymore.

If anyone is interested, I look forward to hearing from you.

Hello and Welcome to the forums. I'm sorry you are facing such a sad decision and I'm very sorry for your loss of your cat and your parrot's friend.

Please have a look at this link before you choose a new home for your Meyers.

I'm sorry your are going through this. It's a tough decision. I have some questions. How old is he? hormones? Is he clipped or flighted? Do you allow him on your shoulder?
