My lorikeet has a spaz?!

I have a young rainbow lorikeet. He is handreared and very friendly. I have recently noticed that every now and then (probably once a day) he has a kind of spaz? He continously flaps his wing while screaming and if you try to touch him he will bite you. It usually goes for about a minute and after that he's back to normal? Does anyone know what this is?
