My haul from today

I just thought I'd share with my fellow parronts; with all of the demo going on at my in-laws, my mil told me I better harvest what I wanted from a certain apple tree before it gets bulldozed...

So here's what I've gotten so far, and I have another batch this size waiting for me to trim up and haul over... I see bird stands, perches, and apple wood slices/chips for toys yayyyyyyyy!!!! This crazy bird lady is HAPPY!! And it only cost me a few blisters lol



I also have two pear trees that need to be demo-ed, so those will be mine as well... Along with a ton of bamboo *happy dance*

Oh chili already has a couple huge grape wood stands I've made for her but I'm sure I'll make a couple more for her anyways haha

Ok, I lied- the rest wasn't as much as the first batch lol



Tomorrow I'll take down the rest of the tree and use the limbs for wood "chips" (slices)

Holy smokes, Shirre. Are you sure just a 'few' blisters? You did a whole lot of cutting and chopping there. AWESOME stash of wood supplies!!! I'm once again green with envy.

Ahhh, I'm so jealous of people with access to wood! Here we've just got cactus!

I can't believe how straight some of those sticks are..

Lol yep, only a couple blisters considering all of the sawing and clipping I did [emoji33] oh and a few sore muscles... But it was all worth it!!

I wasn't going to harvest the straight limbs, but then I figured might as well because they're the perfect perch size for smaller birds....my budgies have been widdling away at their grape wood perch- they seem to REALLY love destroying wood over anything else... A flock of mini beavers! Lol

Once I'm done hauling everything over to my house I'll start cleaning it all ...and I have to figure out where I'm going to store it all [emoji33]

So I've finally finished power washing the pieces I'll be using for play stands... It took two days to finish it all (this is what I do when the kid is taking naps lol)
