Hi everyone,
I am looking for a little advice on this topic...
I have a flight suit for my caique and he loves to go outside with us and go on bicycle rides with us.
I have ordered and gotten a flight suit for my hahns macaw so he can be outside with us also.
My question is this......how do I go about getting this on him in the most least stressful way?
You see, my little hahns does not like to be touched, it is the strangest thing. I can do anything with my caique, lay him on his back, twirl him on my finger, hand wrestle with him.....but not my hahns...he just isn't that way. He doesn't even like to be scratched.
I have had the flight suit hanging on the outside of his cage for a few days now...he nibbles on it every now and then but other wise doesn't pay much attention to it.
My fear is that it will turn into a blood bath for me.
I have been working with him as far as petting his back and trying to scratch him but it is always a 50/50 toss of the coin...sometimes he allows it and sometimes he bites hard....
I really want to see this through...can anyone help me, especially any of you hahns owners...I would love it if you guys could give me some insight. Thank you.
