My gorgeous girl, please make it

I woke up this morning and my girl was sitting on the bottom of her cage. She was lethargic and wasnt using her legs well at all. I took her to the vet straight away. Her heart rate is slow, and shes cold.

Ive had Tequila for five years and im her third owner. I found out 3 months ago she has metabolic bone disease. Shes on pain killers for it as shes uncomfortable, but not in pain.

I think now she is in pain. They're running blood tests to see if she's having issues with her kidneys or electrolytes. Ill have an answer this afternoon.

I think I will be making a very hard decision later. I am devestated.

I stayed with her and cuddled her but had to hand her over to the vet to do the tests. They're giving her medication and keeping her warm. All I can do now is wait for them to call.

Im trying so hard to be strong for her.

Thanks everyone. I've been so emotional and have had no sleep. I'm crying while I type this.

My vet is trying his hardest to try and figure out what's going on, and so far no luck. She's had blood tests and they're fine. Her kidneys are fine. He said there is something in her stomach/gut, but he said it's highly unlikely its foreign matter because she isn't vomiting and she's passing poop fine. He thinks whatever that is could be pushing down on her nerves and making her limp. He's going to check her out further this morning and then give me a call.

I am trying to be positive, but with all the pain killers they gave her yesterday she still could barely move her feet.

The vet just called me and said she made it through the night. Her feet are basically the same, but she has a little bit more strength so she was perching. She's eating. He's going to give her the contrast now as he can look at her gut. He'll call me this afternoon to let me know what happening. I just hope this is fixable. I don't want her to keep her alive if she is suffering. It's not fair.

So far the bill is nearly $900.
