2 green cheeks 1 hybrid one mutation
i have 2 green cheek conures and i noticed today that her nose from the inside and out (i know its not called nose but i dont know the name of it) its red i just saw it today yesterday it wasnt red it was fine what is it maybe its allergys i live in michigan my other green cheek had the same problem once but it went away what could it be?

I couldn't tell you... you say you have 2 green cheeks - 1 hybrid one mutation... Not sure what this means... I have read through all your posts, but maybe this has something to do with it... ???

Maybe she wants to take Rudolph's place on Santa's sleigh this year..... Sorry couldn't resist...
In all seriousness. If you are worried I would take her to see the vet if it doesn't go in a day or two. If it seems to be bothering her then go sooner. Just to be safe.

hi thanks for your answer i have 2 green cheeks ones i pineapple green cheek the other is green cheek mixed with a maroon tailed conure (but the vets say it has some maroon parts but still full green cheek they said its very rare there was something else special about her but i forgot) well thats what it means.

and her nose is okay today i think its normal because our other green cheek had the same thing once but it went away.

Maroon tail (if not maroon bellied) is a subspecies of green cheek.... and its very rare for someone to realize they have a hybrid bird between two green cheek conure subspecies... but green cheek hybrids are very common. More common than many people realize.

I've been interested in photos of these birds to see for myself.

There is maroon tails and maroon bellies i just cant really tell the maroon tails because im color blind lol but im sure to a normal persons eye his colors are very beautiful:)

If it only lasted a day or two then it was probably allergies, but if it ever happens again i would take then to the vet before the redness goes away so the vet can make sure its not something serious that they were hiding!

There nothing wrong with her now so I think it's allergys because last year around the same time it happend to my other green cheek so I thinks it's just allergys. And ya she's very pretty far more nicer than the pure breed green cheek I'm going to put pictures soon to

I took her to the vet and the vet told me about this so that's where I learned this and I'm going to put pictured of the two on soon ones a pineapple green cheek the other one is the mix
