My beautiful mourning dove babies... the female nested right by the front door so they have been seeing me since they were in the nest hence why they sit right beside me in the lawn.

They are to nervous (mostly due to the dogs) to sit on my lap like last years babies did but they will stand on my hand and eat out of it if i lay my hand on the ground with some seed. (hard to get a picture of that LOL)

I have a video of me walking up and them coming running up on the ground to me i'll see if it is small enough to upload without taking HOURS LOL

I love mourning doves. We have them, in the morning I wake up to coo, coo. Thanks for the great pics.

how lucky! thats a great way to hve birds without having birds in the house, there even semi tame! im workin on that with my bird feeder. i cant wait for the video!
btw those pics look so proffesional, you should enter them in a contest or something!

Oh my goodness they are amazing! An your pictures are wonderful. You are so lucky!

I love the sound that doves make.
It is so soothing/comforting.
How fun for you to be able to have this relationship with them.
Thanks for sharing the pics & your story.
