Was a budgie your first?

Was a budgie your first bird? Did the Budgie get you into the world of bird keeping?

Budgies were my first.

All I do is talk about my baby Sprinkles But I do have 2 very sweet Budgies. Here they are. They have their flight feathers in now and are getting pretty good at flying.

What a good-looking pair of budgies. Beautiful in contrast, posture, and love the way they interact!
If the Rickeybird would let me, I'd have a pair, I promise you.

My FIRST bird was an English Sparrow when I was like 13 years old..and my first "exotic" birdie was Wally..a light blue budgie..he was the bomb!
I was into wild birds at a very young age,but that little Wally got me thinking of "parrots"...and here I am now....thirty years later...
Actually MORE than 30 yrs ago lol..I have had parrots for 30 years.

I just watched the video...your little white and blue guy is soooooo adorable! For some reason now, I have been wanting to rub my nose one all the cuties bellies lol and your blue/white guy is no exception.

I have found that Budgies, like 'tiels, are highly underrated as far as beauty, intelligence, playfulness and lovin'. Such little balls of fluff with so much energy and lovin' to give, they are awesome pets :D

Yes they are underated. I love the sounds they make too.

Re: Was a budgie your first?

Budgies were my first bird, then I got another 2 after that one died, then a cockatiel after those 2, then another budgie as a friend for the cockatiel, and then a lovebird because I had the mistake of keeping my other 2 in the same cage and they bonded with each other not me.

Budgies were the first tame birds I met, and the first I owned. I appreciate them more now than I used to. Especially Disco - look for him on YouTube. He's a riot!
