My Birds House - Store (Scam?)

Good Afternoon Everyone, seems as though my poor luck continues. However, just curious if anyone has purchased from this online store before?

The reason I ask is because i just spent $500.00 on a Prevue Java tree from them on July 31st. They haven't been communicative, their 1-800 number is for a completely different company, and their facebook page is no longer active.

I've already put a dispute in with PayPal... and Prevue Pet Products does show them as a qualified retailer but the above has me frightened.

Sorry for the bad luck, that is never fun . I’ve never purchased anything from them or heard of them - but I hope you’ll share the outcome of this one. It may help others stay away from them in the future if they are not legit.

I have not heard of them specifically. However a couple months ago I ordered a clothing item online from a clothing company whose website appeared active. Their website took and confirmed my payment, but that was all... no response no shipping info no "oh backordered," or anything else... eventually I disputed with paypal and was given a refund. All that to say -- in these current times, it might not be a scam but could still be a non-operating company with an operating website. I'm sure paypal will take care of your refund for you, and thanks for the heads-up.

Something about the site presentation looks a bit dodgy, but perhaps just confirmation bias?

Small red flag is reference to "Cages by Breed" in lieu of species. Might be an innocent mistake?
