I am very worried because I don't know if this is something normal or if he is sick. He is still a baby and we got him recently. He gets very upset when we leave him in the cage or in the room alone to go get something, he jumps around the cage a lot, but I doubt he hurt himself, he isn't doing it frantically, just sort of jumps around lighty and calls for us.

He is very active, playful and interactive, loves training and treats, eats and drinks regularly which is why I don't understand this. He obviously isn't sick or at least doesn't seem like it.

Any advice? I tried to get him to bathe and see if it'll help but he isn't too keen.

I plan on taking him to the vet if this doesn't get better. I attached one photo of how the beak looked before vs now. Anyone seen this before?

Thanks in advance!!

I'm sorry that I only have sympathy to offer. I see the redness, almost looks like oozy inflammation, and in some photos it looks almost like the beak itself, but it's hard to tell. I can see why you are concerned and hope some members with more knowledge will comment soon.

Was this a sudden change? How long has it been this way? Regardless, I'm glad you have vet support available. Cosmo is a cutie pie!

It hasn't been like this for long, maybe 2-3 days. I sent photos to my birb doctor bc I have his number and he said it doesn't look that serious to him. Regardless I am going away for a few days and my parents are gonna look after him and when I come back I will take him to the vet

Welcome to the forum! Cosmo is SO cute!!!

It does look a bit red so I see what you mean. I think a vet visit to be safe is a good idea. Is he scratching it or anything?

He isn't particularly scratchy although he doesn't wanna bathe at all, I'm planning a vet visit and I'll keep you updated
