I just have to express what a little sweetheart this baby is! I've never had a conure before and am wondering if he's typical? By the time I'd have him 5 days he was totally bonded to me. It's as though he were a domesticated animal or a dog.

I'm sold!!:):D

I've never had a conure before either but ours is almost the same way. We've only had her since saturday and already she seems to be bonded with us and wants to be with us. It has so far gone better than expected. But some people say it takes them a couple weeks to get used to their surroundings and then their true personalities come out. So I am waiting until she gets a little more settled before congratulating myself on having such a great bird, lol.

When I bought my breeding pair, I took them home and the female went right on to my shoulder. The male is still a bit of an evil attack birdy. :)

Ah, phooey! Don't say that! :D I mean, I know he'll go through the hormonal state but I sure hope he stays sweet!

I just moved him into his new, big cage and he's busily exploring it.

Penny is like that too. She bonded to me very quickly and really enjoys being with me. I think conures are great birds because they love human interaction but they also know how to entertain themselves while you're gone.

So yesterday, I had my arm in his cage fixing something and he climbed right into my sleeve and fell asleep :D He's just so damn cute and sweet!

And here's a photo I took today of Rufus enjoying the view from my living room window:

Great picture! It looks like he's starting to get a few little red feathers! :D

Pretty baby!! Mine is the biggest cuddle bug ever. What a sweetheart!
