my babies & the gang

my old faithful pair of cockatiels have had more babies after a good long rest of 6 months.
I don't like to breed Sundance too much as she is approximately 10 years of age, while Dexter is still a young stud of 3years.

they have produced 3 healthy chicks, 2 lutinos', and 1 pied and or pearl, born Jan.2,4,5th.....so they are just wee little guys

I can't wait to start handfeeding in about 2 weeks, that is my favourite part, and raising them to become happy, well adjusted, friendly cockatiels.





the other picture is of my gang just hanging out....

Tundra - in the far back, Angus- Lutino Pearl, Num Num(everbody knows him).....and by best buddy Magnet(front right) he's my newest member and just the sweetest, nicest bird you could ever ask for.

why in Gods name anyone would sell him is BEYOND me, but their loss is my gain, haha.

I'm trying to pair him up with Angus, they are in a cage together and get along really well(no bickering) so we will wait & see what happens.

you see the one in the middle.....you can see it has dark eyes....that means it is either pied or pearl.....the other two(which you can't see their eyes) are Lutinos, their eyes are much much lighter...isn't that amazing how you can tell??!!!

there are 3 little fluffies in there, the youngest keeps hiding under the oldest one, sits on his head

as for Num Nums nasty fishwife(LOL) I hooked her up with 8-Ball, he is not tame and perfect to keep her in line.

here is 8-Ball-he's looking a little tired today, and I've noticed his poop is not right....I'll have to keep an eye on him




here is Pearl, both are whiteface standard grey cockatiels and looks alike
(not suppose to breed 2 whitefaces together, it can produce weak chicks)

I've posted plenty of baby tiel pictures on here, can't believe you didn't see any...lol...IF you know your existing mutation background you can kinda guess what color it may be but certain ones you just know what color it's gonna be if you bred them together before cause there's only so many that have red eyes.

mikey- Num Num and Angus are brother and sister, their parents throw straight Lutino's,cinnamon Lutinos,pieds, cinnamon pieds, pearls, cinnamon pearls.

Dexter is- Pied Split Pearl Lutino & cinnamon

Sundance- Cinnamon Lutino split Pied

thank you!!....yes I will definitely be taking many more pictures....it's difficult to take pics with mom and dad being watchdogs....I got that shot while they were out eating.
