Hey all, I thought it would be nice to show my babies and their cage.

Their new bath:

And I drilled a bunch of holes in their perches to do this with

What a beautiful big aviary for them, and in such a nice leafy setting too - bet they love it!

thanks :) . I do hope they like it! Lexy our first one was handed in at the local vet on its last legs after being found outside :'( so her (I think... or his, will be able to say for sure in about a year) story is a bit of a miracle as we all know the odds when they get to that point!

Mum picked up the 2nd one later and they get along brilliantly in each others company :) . I am considering getting them DNA sexed to see if I can get a pair out of them as babies would be nice (we have had them over a year). Mum surprised me with the 2nd so I didn't get a say in getting a mature bird or a male/female.

If they are both males or both females how would I handle adding one of the opposite sex? If I add one female to 2 males will this cause issues? Will 1 male mate with 2 females?

From what I have been told by someone (albeit the guy who was selling them in a store) alex's are naturally flock breeding birds. Is this true?
