Hey everybody, I wanted to know what other people's experiences have been with alexs and other types of birds. Tango absolutely hates our african grey (much younger than her and purchased later), while the grey seems to really like tango and tries to imitate her noises, perch close and generally wants to do EVERYTHING that tango does. Which isn't easy for a big clumsy young grey trying to sit on tango sized perches!

Any advice? Talon really wants tango to be his little buddy, but tango freaks out every time talon gets close to him. Tango is definitely the one being the jerkbird in this case. Talon is a lot bigger than him, though not aggressive at all.

Sorry MS, but I don't think there is any magic potion to get different species of birds to like each other...heck, sometimes you'll even find fights between birds of the same specie.....a lot of times jealousy keeps birds from tolerating each other, which may be the problem with Tango, she may be seeing Talon as an interloper who has taken some of the attention she should be getting.....

Good luck with your dilemma.....
