Here's my 10 Gal tank. It has 1 viel tail betta, blue, who shares his accommodations with 5 orange platies and 2 tux platies. Normally I wouldn't have gotten platies but these guys actually were already living with a betta that looked BEAUTIFUL. Not a nip on him! I would've taken him but he had some sort of growth on his head, which I think is why they let him in with the platies - pet store doesn't want to sell a deformed betta.
Anways, here it is
The betta has been biting his own tail which is why it's so tattered. It's growing back in actually though and looking a lot better
