We are weighing Munch daily right now as she is on eggs and is not eating as much as normal due to sitting all day. So, we have bonding moments daily during her weighing and she handles the scale very well (she bangs her beak on it to claim it as her territory!!). She looks a bit rough, but molting, nesting, and a bit of plucking doesn't help that. She also got strawberry on her forehead lol She's doing great in weight!

For those who don't know, Munchlax lays eggs every winter, despite hormone reduction techniques. We're just waiting for her to give up on them and be done with it!

All the same, here is our little booger!

Aww a little strawberry beauty mark. She may start a new trend:D She is very cute. nice pictures thank you for posting them:)

Munch is the Cindy Crawford of lovebirds!! Stunning, with just the sexiest "beauty mark", lol. I love it when you post pics.
Glad to hear she is doing well, despite the persistant egg laying. My doofuses are busy pretending they have eggs when they don't, lol. (too young)

she lays every winter, drives me nuts, but its usually one or two clutches and shes done, so it's not as bad as it could be. but, i still always worry lol

oh she is so cute!!! I love the red patch on her head! Make sure she gets extra calcium while shes laying it takes a lot out of them.

yes, she's got 2 cuttlebones, i powder up her pellets, i put eggshell into powder for her as well, i make sure she gets calcium rich veggies as well, AND she has full spectrum lighting :) we put the powdered pellets and eggshell on her veggies.

right now, we are just waiting for her to give up on the eggs, she's been done laying for like 3 weeks now, just waiting for her to give up on them. should be soon!

as for other details:

fed seed, zupreem avian maintenance pellets, mash, chop, birdie bread, veggies of all sorts (favourites are corn, carrots, and broccoli especially), fresh fruit (she likes blackberries, raspberries, and strawberries), herb salad, millet as a treat, dried fruit as a treat, sometimes a bit of unfortified plain oatmeal, and sometimes almonds or cantaloupe seeds, or even pumpkin seeds as a treat :)

She's absolutely stunning!
My Lovie Sid is the same colouring all over by the looks of it, he's a little duller, but has only just started going through his first molt, so hopefully will be just as bright and beautiful as Munch very soon :)

Hope she's gotten over those eggs for you by now :09:
