Question for everyone,
Has anyone else dealt with a male cockatoo make'in a nest. Our cockatoo has not been himself the last week. He keeps making a nest in the far back corner of his cage out of shredded wood and toys and he keeps setting a little toy bead in the middle. He is super crabby and is not his usual vocal self. He usually says hi to everyone and sings, but the only noise he has been making is screaming on occassion. He has been very snappy too. I read male Umbrella's make nests in the wild. Did anyone else hear this?? We did tons of research and stuff and we all assume he is a boy, including his past owners. I don't know if he has ever been DNA tested by his past owners. Everyone thinks the nest making is funny and cute. It is cute in a way but then again, I'm just a little concerned now, because of the behavior. Do you think this is normal "male" behavior??
