Just wondering, since its moulting season for many parrots, if you've noticed that your parrot(s) is clingier at this time? She's a clingy bird anyway, but this is a whole new level of it. She's not really acting hormonal, but she is covered with a fresh set of pins like a hedgehog. She doesn't seem to care that she can fly anywhere she wants, just wants to hang out every waking second, which of course is impossible. I hope this eases up as she feels less uncomfortable. She's getting daily baths from me, and often bathes herself in her bath several times a day. But she's itchy and clingy. I feel so bad for her, but besides daily baths, outside time and a solar schedule I don't know what else to do.

I was going to do a post tonight about the same thing.
Safari, my senegal is going thru his first moult, he's about a year old. Today when he woke up he was all puffy, like someone took a comb and combed him the wrong way.
He's been sleeping with his head tucked on and off today.
I was giving him scritches, and he has lots of pins on the back of his neck, and the top of his head feels rough.
He barely ate today, and his poop is mostly urates.
I'm hoping tomorrow is better, today kind of scared me a bit today. I've never seen Safari like this ever. He is definitely more sucky too.....waaaaaay more

Oh yes the first moult is the worst! He's probably really feeling crappy. Poor Safari! I love that name by the way :)
