So, since I wanted to be more on the ball this time (unlike at Christmas) and get these shipped off this week to make it to my mom and MIL in time for mother's day (you know how the post office can be *slow* when you need something in a hurry:52:), I wanted to share before I shipped them off:09:

Of course some pretty cards:)

Found this cute parrot pin and repainted it to more closely resemble my mom's 3 birds:

My dad always gets my mom flowers, but I found this pretty vase she can put them in that matches her plates (I have one she gave to me since it was a repeat, but you can see the vase was almost made to go with the pattern:)):

And for my mother in law, I made her a little appliqué picture of her 3 dogs in a pretty frame:

My hubby is going to go online and order some flowers for her and have them delivered at her work, so I think that will be nice for her.

Hopefully, these won't arrive a week after the fact, like the Christmas gifts I sent last year did:20:

That's perfect :) Sometimes the best gifts aren't about the price, it's the personalization that makes it so special. I'm sure they'll LOVE it!!

Those are amazing, and such personal gifts...gifts that obviously came straight from your heart:) Your Mom and MIL are going to love those! I will keep my fingers crossed that they make it there early:)

No one in my family or my husbands family really does anything but homemade type gifts. On occasion, some neat vintage find from the goodwill, like the vase, but that's infrequent. Maybe we're kind of a weird bunch though;)

What gorgeous, thoughtful gifts!! I love how the fact that you carefully considered each gift is so obvious! I hate receiving gifts that were just picked out of a display of 100s of the same. You're a fabulous DIL and daughter :)

I think that's really cool! :D I like that.
