i am the mom of three parrots:
Dorothy- African grey (cag)
Bowie- blue and gold macaw
Nellie- hyacinth macaw
Reggie- hyacinth macaw
Marnie- white bellied caique
Well let me say my fingers are crossed! I have been waiting on the cage to come in at the breeder. We think that it will be in today, they can then build it for me and then tomorrow will be the big homecoming! I am keeping my fingers crossed that it does show up! I had wanted to bring the cage home first so that I could set it up but I guess it shouldn't take too long to put in all of his toys, perches etc.!
I am beyond excited however I must say that I am also a bit nervous! I just had surgery so I was unable to visit him for over a week and when I went yesterday he got so excited to see me he flew down on to another cage and came running towards me! I was so happy he remembered me!

Hey, that's really cool news! I can imagine your excitement... please take lots of pics of him and post them :D

I will, I am just beside myself with excitement! I am going to play lots of "Salsa" videos for him! They can be internet friends! Seriously, I'm hoping that personality of Salsa's will rub off on him!

Salsa has so much of it, I'm sure he can spare some to transfer to Moses ;)

We brought Moses home yesterday, he has done great & I am in love! I don't think my dog Pia knows what to make of him however!

He will be 4 months on the 25th of this month! (I have handfed several birds in the past, I was taught long ago by my breeder)

Wow! Congrats!!! He's such a nice looking GW and he really appears to be settling in well :) Those are very cool pics! Thanks for posting them... and post more whenever you can!!

I notice that Moses has the black-ish feather lines on his facial skin (as opposed to the red ones like Salsa has). That gives him quite an interesting look. He's a gorgeous bird! And I think I recognize that round blue toy he's playing with on the floor ;)

Note: I haven't responded until now because I've been offline most of the day due to computer issues. My online time may be sporadic for a while until I get some hardware issues resolved. But I'll check in periodically until everything is fixed.

YAY!!! Congrats on bringing him home. You must be so elated. SUCH a gorgeous boy!!! He's bigger than your Chinese Crested, lol. :D

Yes, Salsa his facial lines are black however the breeder said that they will change. I however think it makes him look unique so I would love it if they stayed, I don't think that will happen though. He is such a great boy! Wow, is it a difference between my grey and him! LOL I am trying slowly but surely to introduce them, I would love for them to be able to be on the tree together however I am such a nervous person that everytime they look at each other I wisk Dorothy off the tree. I'm becoming a "helicopter" parent!

Naw he is so handsome and looks like he has already settled in really well! Congrats!
