Hi all! It's been a while since i've posted here.

Bandit's doing so well. He's coming along a lot slower than most other birds i've had, but that's okay, we've made a bit of a breakthrough.

I've been bringing him into the living room with me in the evenings before his bed time so he can spend time just being around us. He has his favourite spot on the phone table next to the couch so he's close to us, but not too close and not too far away.

Well, last night my husband had gone to bed and I was watching a movie on the couch with Bandit in his usual spot. Randomly he fluttered onto the arm of the couch and I had my arm bent resting on the couch, and he waddled over and buried himself in the bent part of my elbow. So cute, I thought.

Then he came out from there and climbed up my arm and buried himself in between my neck and the neck of my sweater, and went to sleep there. We sat like that for an hour before I finally decided to try my luck with a picture without disturbing him too much. I succeeded.

This is the first time he's ever come to me and been so snuggly. It was such an amazing time for me. I think we've really taken a big step forward and it's wonderful.

I just quit my full time job (40 hours p/w) so i'm going to have a lot of time on my hands while I search for a more part time position, so i'm going to utilize this time as much as I can to strengthen my bond with Bandit.

That is really neat., congrats:)

That is great news! Nothin' like a good snuggle from your birdie buddy! :D

Eventually you'll find your self struggling to keep him from going down the neck of your shirt. My sun goes in and refuses to come out and will start to fight. Its helarious to watch a bump in your shirt fighting with your finger.
