Here are more pics of Oogie and Daisy's playgym. I'm still not finished painting the base, but it's coming along :) It stands about 5 1/2 feet tall including the base, which has casters on it. I used a dowel screw to attach one of the smaller branches to the main limb. Everything else it tied one with jute rope. The eye holes are all stainless steel. For the base, I am using acrylic paint and then coating it with a high gloss finish, that way I can just wipe off the bird poo LOL! The birds don't have access to eat so no worries about them chewing on the painted surface. Total cost - $0.00 I used things I had around the house :)

Wowza! Great work!!!! That last picture is sooooo pretty :)
and the fact that it cost you hardly anything is fantastic.

Kudos to your hard work, now....... make me one, please? LOL You could make a profit out of this!

It truly is a work of art! You did such a great job. Can I ask, did you just tie the branches together as apposed to fasteners?

Thanks all! @ Aussie Ben, One of the three branches on the main trunk is attached with a stainless steel dowel screw. I secured it even more with the jute. None of the other branches have screws or nails or anything to hold them in place, just the rope. I wanted to make it as bird safe as possible, so that meant no metal to chew on at all! I also will be able to replace the branches as they get worn, or gnawed, ok eaten lol. Though it's not pictured, I did add another horizontal branch (to form a triangle of perches) and used 2 , 2" stainless steel bolts to fasten on a water dish and food dish.

Makes complete sense, I like the way you have done it. Not only does it look good, but its bird safe too ;)

This is wonderful! Good job. I definitely would love to build something similar for my Kiwi to play on. We had something that hung from the ceiling at our old place but it wasn't that great and he was not too interested.

Are you taking orders? What a great job.

Mishka would be in birdie paradise .....
Awesome absolutely beautiful, great creative mind, put to good use. :D
Well done.
