One hilarious yellow-sided green cheek conure
Hi everyone! I have a green cheek conure and have been looking to upgrade his cage and had nooooo idea how crazy this decision would be lol! I have two cages in mind now and am looking for opinions...

This seems to be a super popular cage for conures, but I wonder about the no sides/seed guards. I have found, ahem, poop on the small guards my cage has now, so would I have lots of poop on the floor with this cage? Have people noticed that to be a problem much?

The other choice...

I like the skirt and horizontal bars but not sure about the feed cups. I don't like not being able to choose where to put them and in up close pictures they seem awkward, there's a bar over part of the cup, so I wonder if birds have trouble using them. Again, anyone with experience?

Thank you for any advice!!

I like the first one. I have it and use it for a spare cage for when I put the birds outside to get sunshine , or if I have to keep my moms bird . It rolls around easily from room to room. The feeders it comes with are not very good so I got some stainless steel ones from mysafebirdstore and they work much better.

I have the first one, but I like the second one. The first one is very light weight and pretty durable. I use it for my senegal, but believe it or not he doesn;t make any mess. He's a very clean bird. :p
My conures, on the other hand would probobaly (?) make a bit of a mess in the first cage. The cage they are in now has a pretty wide skirt, it catches bunches of food and poop, but they still get a lot of food on the floor. Poop? Not so much. It may just be my GCCs being super messy, but I think if I had them in the first cage I would need a pretty good broom.
Over all, I LOVE the first one, but if your GCC is messy like mine, be prepared for a bit of a mess. I would also replace the food cups.

I have two marvelous cages and really like them. My birds don't have any problems perching on the bowls.
