Just a couple of question on mirrors. I know some birds love mirrors but some of you know that I'll be getting a hand reared cockatiel and the is question is should I get a mirror for him? As he will be hand reared I want him to give him all the attention and training with him to talk and by having a mirror in his cage will that occupy him more than me? An advance thanks :D

i've always seen mirrors as a way to trick single birds into not feeling lonely in a cage?? i could be wrong??

but all i ever see are lone budgies in a cage peaking at these dam mirrors for hours on end

Sky had a few but me having a teil and me not home for a few hours I thought having the TV on or me itunes radio on to keep him company :)

lol nut gets music chanel and as soon as that comes on she knows were off lol but i suppose its how fasinated with mirrors they get?? i think i am basing my idea of a mirror on the poor budgie at work that belongs to a resident, all it does is squark and attack this mirror :( no one can get near it, its claws are over grown :( grrrr
