Since moving the birds to a new area with us both working at home I have noticed a significant change in Miri. She is MUCH nicer and affectionate than ever before, I'm pretty sure it's due to her not being in the center of the house where she could see everyone coming and going. She immediately wants to get close and snuggle almost all the time now. I go out of my way to visit all of them as much as possible thru-out the day. I make sure to go in and visit on every break I have and lunch as well (my lunch is @ 5pm). I was really worried moving them and me working would have an adverse affect but it truly has been the opposite! I am definitely enjoying her change in attitude. I can't really see a difference in the rest of the flock though, only in Miri. :)

Awwwwwwwww!! Good girl Miri :D She just wants to cuddle with her dad now! :p
Now where is this video of you and Miri playing with you talking in your texas accent

Being undomesticated animals, birds do not just reract to their environment, they become part of it. Birds in noisy, busy homes are more agitated & stimulated. Moving her from the center of the action did definitely calm her down. My house is "very quiet". At least as quiet as a house full of birds can be. No kids, no animals but birds, no loud music or TV. That helps keep my fids mellow. I've taken in aggressive & nervous birds who've calmed down very quickly, being in calmer surroundings.

I play loud music, sometimes just for the birds, loud TV (movies in surround sound actually) and I have a kid. My point was is that it has calmed Miri down (which she needed) and has not affected my other birds. I have posted on this numerous times in the past which others are familiar with. I really wasn't asking or wanting an opinion, but was merely reporting facts in behavioral changes since the adjustment.

There are many people that follow the development of my birds on here, you might want to do a search to find the MANY posts I have concerning Miri's progression. :)
