So my bird sneezes alot but my doctor said its not a big deal....I noticed today it took a bath in its water and I noticed its nostrils are a deep red? Im curious if this is how Meyers parrots nostrils are? Ive never seen my bird get wet but I just want to make sure theres nothing wrong with my bird.

You've come to the right place. My boys' nostrils don't usually change much after a bath, they only turn a slightly darker shade of pink. So your Meyer's nostrils turn deep red? I don't know if your just exaggerating or not, but the description 'deep red' seems strange to me. Maybe another user can offer better help than me.

I guess you can say dark pink, but when I first got her his nostrils were super dark, dry and flat. I did take her to the vet because I know the previous owners probably had never taken the bird to a vet in its lifetime so I wanted to make sure everything was alright. I did some blood work and the vet checked the nostrils and said the bird is fine . Now my bird tends to sneeze more on a regular basis and the doctor said birds do that to clear there nostrils but In recent time I've noticed my birds nostrils look more defined and are a dark pink. I have a feeling I am make a big deal over nothing but anyones 2 cents would be great.
