My 7yo parakeet is still regurgitating on its perch , this started as only a once a year thing, now is everyday, what a mess. Messy gets it on its feet, the back of its neck. All over its beak, It also "plays" with a favorite toy. My previous keets never did this, I guess I'm lucky that my bird loves me so much.
This must be normal, because Messy seems happy and healthy.
Messy won't step up to my finger because it associates my hand with feather trimming. I haven't trimmed in five years, but they never forget. But Messy will sit on my shoulder all day. Today Messy flew into its cage and stared at the area where it's bath usually is, but it wasn't there, so Messy came out to tell me to put it back in, I did, then Messy took a bath. Too smart. Parakeets are fun ,but they are Messy.
