Merlin is the bird that does the impossible.
He was the first (and only) bird to deliberately dump his food dish upside down. He did this in a cage that the bowels can (theoretically) only be removed when the food dish door is open. I had to make modifications to the cage to make the food dish fit tighter when it's inside the cage.
Merlin has also figured out how to unlock the gravity lock on the top of the cage door. I sometimes get lazy and don't slide the locking latch over and rely on just the gravity latch. Merlin has twice opened Bingos cage once when Bingo was in the cage. Had to move fast to keep anything bad from happening.
I think this explains 1/2 his behavior in the video below. He is definitely checking out Bingo but I think he is trying to figure out a way to open the food dish door.
