Well I finally did it....I got a Sun.....Forrest is not too pleased he can hear him from the other room and it is very hard to keep him contained. I have been very busy between the two birds so they don't feel neglected. Nacho had a vet trip yesterday and is in good health. After two weeks we can introduce them the vet said.
Nacho is an awesome bird for a Sun.....very rarely screeches unless we walk into the room. Then he bends over and swishes his tail almost like he is trying to poop. That means he wants out. The people cried when he left their home......well taken care of pellet diet and all. Although I will be switching him to Tops pellets gradually. Very friendly and I moved him to a much larger cage to see if he would accept it and he jumped right in and loved the new cage. He seems to adapt well, so he is already in his new cage the first day I got him. Steps up for everyone...my daughter and all the grand children. He loves to snuggle under my chin. I am just so amazed at how well behaved he is. He just comes out and sits on a perch or on top of his cage. Doesn't even try to go anywhere unless he can catch a ride on your shoulder.
I have been so reluctant to upset the apple cart with Forrest we have such an awesome relationship..........but he has calmed down a lot since the first day. I just hope that eventually they will be friends.
I WIll post updates as to how this relationship progresses.
