Meet Miss Mariah

Here are a few pics of Mariah, a 16 year old CAG I adopted from a very nice couple through CL. She is a total sweetie and has settled in so far quite nicely....which I was a little worried about since she's been with the same family since she was weaned. Eating, drinking, taking treats, whistling, and talking...even let me handle her for a few minutes.
Thanks to everyone for encouraging me to pursue adopting this sweet girl...I know she will fit in with our family perfectly.

ps- My Meyers boy was super excited when he realized there was another bird in the house (albeit in a different room)...for the first 5 minutes, all I heard was his favorite (and only) phrase, "Hi Kevin".

My Macaw Willie was raised by her previous family since he was a baby. She handfed him herself and they're all he's ever known for a family for 3 years until I came along. He came to me from day one which shock the heck out of them, I was in the room for no longer then 5min when he came to me. Same with the B&G at my vet's clinic, he came to me as well. The manager had to get all the staff in to see me with their macaw. They couldn't believe it...Cause no one else in the clinic could really touch him but the owner. So I'm sure you will do fine with Mariah. Good Luck with your new baby!!!!
