Charlie is my 9 month old CAG. Just a short video of the simple things i have taught him so far. Hopefully can get one of him talking later. I just love this guy to death.

How do you teach the wave, just wait till they raise their foot and attach thew "wave" command to it, then treat them?

How do you teach the wave, just wait till they raise their foot and attach thew "wave" command to it, then treat them?

At first i had to put my finger close to him, and he would raise his foot to step up. I would add the wave command everytime he would lift his foot and reward him. It only took a few days for him to learn it. Have been throwing in hello and goodbye too so hopefully he will begin to say those when he waves. It just takes patience and lots of treats. Gonna start working on some more challenging things soon.
