Maverick is 5 months old!!
So a quickie update... he's a stubborn little jerk (read: AMAZON) at times BUT we're totally in love with this little guy. He loves his Play-den (a 32"x24" giant that sits in our office) and hangs out with us pretty much from the minute we walk in the door til bedtime. By 6 ish he is sleepy enough and wants love so we have head scritch time for like an hour. We've been very diligent about exposing him to multiple people and kinds of people. He will step up for most anyone now. We go out in the backpack for field trips and have started working on the harness which, despite his thinking, is NOT a chew toy (we're getting better at diversion!)
The funniest thing about this little guy is that once I was leaning over the washer to get something I dropped behind it and I got stuck, so I shouted "help!!" and my wife ran over to help me. He must've associated "help" with instant attention so now whenever he wants attention and "what!!!" doesn't get it, he screams "help!!!" We've not encouraged this but man is it hard not to laugh!! He also laughs just like me and can say "hello", "what", "Oty" (instead of coty), and "kat". He knows a couple choruses to the songs we listen to most as well.
That's enough verbal diarrhea for now! Picture time!!
Bath time while we cleaned and vacuumed!
