Hey all,

Thought I would give everyone an update on Maui's progress. He's adjusted to his new home with complete ease and is completely fine with anyone and everyone picking him up and loving on him. Not much fazes him...so far. The vacuum? Meh. Loud, big and noisy dogs? Not even a flinch. He is starting to lose some of his baby clumsiness and is getting good at perching and better at getting around his cage. He is also starting to play with the toys in his cage and loves to have conversations in 'parrot talk'. He now laughs like a person and it seems like he is getting pretty close to saying actual words. He is learning step up and does it about 75% of the time now.

He also went outside for the first time today and got to soak up some sunshine and fresh air. You could tell it was an exciting, yet tad bit scary, experience for him. He came back in and got his first bath too and took it like a champ. He flapped his wings right from the get go and fluffed up.

He's also eating a ton more pellets and fresh fruits and veggies and getting less and less interested in formula.

He's been home for a week and a half and my baby's already growing up too fast.

HAPPPPPYYYYYY TALE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lucky Maui, lucky you!

Handsome guy for sure! Sounds like he is well adjusted already. Enjoy his "youth" period :) Like children...they just grow up way to quickly

BB is still young <8 months> and starting to get his first set of clothes, and enjoying his "youth" lol...I just love his energy, makes ME tired watching him sometimes lol.

He looks great. Advice... take and put up lots and lots of pics. Take it from someone whose baby just hit 1 year, they do grow up fast, faster then a kid. Salty is starting to at like a naughty teenager. Still sweet and nice but Def testing his limits more.

Thank you all! I've been a crazy parront and have been logging his moments and progress through pictures. Even had pictures taken of his first bath today as well. I think some people think I'm a little nuts but he's my baby and the firsts are a big deal, not only because they're firsts for him, but they're firsts for me as well as I have never had a bird this young. My grey was 5 when I got her and was raised and socialized incredibly well by her previous owner, and I intend on doing the same with him.

Maui just gets more and more gorgeous!! I'm so glad you are taking lots of pictures, please keep sharing them! Trust me, no one thinks you are a crazy parront here:)

Wow what beautiful colors. What kind of hybrid is he?
