OH i have one more behavior question. Do green cheeks form mate bonds with more then one bird? I have my petri and right now my sisters two green cheeks Hot rod and Tiki and over the past view visits from them ive noticed somthing they all feed each other, they all preen and snuggle together, and they take turns rubbing vents. Tiki we know is a girl and we discourage it when we catch it and don't provide nesting areas, But they still go at it some times. And some days they all be sitting on top of the keet cage tails in the air and all three buts pressed together. Ill try to get a picture of it if i can they haven't done that this visit though. I was just wondering if this was a common thing or if my birds are jsut weird and like threesomes :09:

Are Hot Rod and Tiki bonded pair, male and female? Your Petri might be just a third wheel.:30:

ALL conures, macaws and amazons are exclusive pair bond birds.

Eckies and Cockatoos are "flock" birds.

I dont know if hot rod and tiki are But before they got Hotrod Tiki was gaga for Petri. Not they all spend equal time together from what ive seen. Its sooo cute when all three are sitting together preening eachother. They are also slightly different in age. Petri and Tiki are about three and Hotrod is about 2. Tiki is the only one we know the gender of and shes a girl. and like i said they all take turns one time i look up and its petri and tiki another its hotrod and tiki and the next i might be hotrod and petri. They always stop when they see i'm looking which is good. No lil babys here XD And as long as i don't end up with eggs i'm all for them breaking social norms. I was just wondering if anyone else had ever had a set that did this.
