Mack the Knife-BFA
I am feeling slightly inadequate as a caregiver now...I bought a box of strawberries at the farmers market on Sunday to make myself some strawberry smoothies.Got home, started the process in the kitchen. So far,so good...Mack arrives in a flurry of feathers saying "whatcha doin'?" sees the strawberries ,goes nuts! I took him back to his house, along with four strawberries. The resulting pic is the last one ... He didn't fling much out, either.I guess we have a new favorite treat.Glad we live in Fla. Where they are cheap! Should have tried earlier to see if he liked them!! I swear to God,this bird is smarter than any dog I have ever had in my life!! :green:

Yes they are...

I just remember the time my daughter fed our flock strawberries without telling me. BLOOD! BLOOD IN THE POOP! OH NO! What did they get into?! Quick we gotta get to a vet...

:DYeah, she thought it was funny!

My BFA used to drink smoothies when I made them. There's a bird tax on food and drink. Always make a little bit extra.

Oh yeah, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries. I have to sneak them, or someone will never leave me be, until they get some! :)

Best of luck with your white curtains behind the cage:D Though, they do tend to be slightly neater with favored foods.

Mack is beautiful BTW, he looks very healthy! And Birdman is right, there's a bird tax on all food, especially with the piggy zons;). Expect to never have a meal or snack alone again and if Mack can't have it, you better eat it out of sight or wait till he's in bed because you'll run into trouble 'explaining' why not;) Remember that dogs have "animal intelligence" and have been bred down though tens of thousands of generations to only exhibit certain human-desired qualities (such as obedience and trainability). Parrots are essentially wild (no more than a few generations out of the wild) and naturally possess the cognitive abilities of a 3-4 year old child. They are absolutely creatures of higher intelligence.

Nice!!! My Buddy doesn't like strawberries which still surprises me. He loves blueberries and eats anything that ends in berry but strawberries. I quit giving them to him because he turns them into amo, all objects become targets. If Buddy loves something he takes FOREVER to eat it, savoring every piece. You are now required to keep strawberries in the fridge, lol.
