Didn't you just post...

Hello,
I am new to this forum my wife and I are the proud owner of an African Grey named Norman he is a hoot. Bear with us as this is a new forum that I just stumbled across while looking to purchase macaw.
Thanks for allowing me to join and any help or hints are greatly appreciated.

Be well
Gary & Lisa

Wait now I see my bad, I thought you were double posting. Then I re-read both. But still you should keep it to one related post.

I'd recommend greenwings over scarlet's. Personality wise, scarlet's are the beakiest of the bunch, and they tend to have shorter tempers...

Greenwings are generally lovers... every once in awhile you get overbonding issues, or dominance issues, but those are usually related to not training the bird correctly.

Handling a greenwing is relatively easy. Getting one to STOP being handled is harder... they want to be with you, and be the center of attention at all times...

Hey I have been working on bird site, here's an article about Scarlet Macaw, might help you decide.

Let me know if it helps:red::blue::blue::blue1:
