Is this carrier too large for car safety for a blue and gold macaw? It is 32"L x 22.5"W x 24"H
I don't want his tail feathers to be scrunched up, but I do want him to be safely snug in case of accident (so he doesn't have as far to move before hitting the walls).
It seems like the carrier could be shorter than his total length since he'll be up on a perch, thus "shortening" the tail, but I just don't know by how much..
