Macaw cage brands and size

Hello, when we got our macaw, the previous owner also included a cage in the deal. It is definitely too small at 36” w x 24” deep. I am presently looking at two different cages: one is made by A & E and measures 48” W x 36” D x 50” H (internal dimensions) and the other is by Avian Adventures at 42” W x 32” D x 48” H. Are any of you familiar with these two brands?

Both have a play top instead of a dome which my present, smaller cage has.

When we do change, our CAG will inherit the smaller cage which should be just fine space-wise for him.

I have my GW in a 48" wide A&E cage, but the dome top. IMHO dome tops provide those big macs quite a bit of additional head room, and room for more toys and activities.

I just went through the same thing, although the cage that she came with (yes the DNA test came back, its a girl!), was 23x24. I ended up getting this:

And I will say, its a massive cage, and I am very glade that I got it. I was looking at an A&E playtop and like others have pointed out, it would have been small, the extra height really makes a difference.
