So Iā€™m taking care of my friends macaw for a bit until sheā€™s back in town and my main fear was them not getting along since I know IRNā€™s can be a bit mean and aggressive sometimes but they turned out to be buddies šŸ˜‚ I thought it was really adorable to see especially since my my IRN doesnā€™t have any bird friends yet, look how cute they are together and Iā€™m soooo glad introducing them went welll!! great relief

(Ofcourse i ONLY keep them together whenever IM around around playtime)

Careful.... big beaks can do big harm even if unintentional. I'm sure you're not letting them together unsupervised but just be careful!

Yes of course!! Leo (the macaw) has a really laid back and sweet personality Kiwi (IRN) is the one iā€™m actually more concerned about since she isnā€™t the sweetest, iā€™d never let them get out of my sight while being out together, way too big of a risk to take and irresponsible as well, but when they are together theyā€™re cute

I even put Leo to sleep in his cage and Kiwi went up to the stairs and slept next to his cage just to be around him, way too adorable

Boy that is so cute! but also having the same reaction as owlet. Two birds of drastically unequal size, complete strangers to each other, allowed to get so freely close to each other so soon. Itā€™s sending chills down my spine just thinking about it.

But so long as youā€™re vigilant and never more than a could feet away, you should be ok based on how things have been so far. So hey, thanks for sharing enjoy the adorableness in person :)

You guys are right! Iā€™m always right next to them and I make sure theyā€™re both safe and comfortable, if i notice any bad signs or body language I immediately separate them (and theyā€™re only allowed this close certain times, not too long)

Nice! The great size difference between the 2 species is so evident, LOL, the macaw beak is almost as big as your IRN.

That is a really nice/interesting banister and railing with all of the tiles.

My Macaw would bite my Amazon's head off if they ever got this close.
