lychee's

got some lychees and as a treat i gave a whole one to nut without thinking! i have looked on the web, and the stones are poisonous?? are they to parrots to??

she's had a few and though she drops the stones she did eat half of the stone in the 1st one she got

i have to also add that reading some other forums or posts on the net, some ppl let the birds eat the stones and some just give the bird the fruit??

also growers of lychees had whole crops taken by wild parrots and flying foxes

I'd say the best thing to do here is call the vet asap.

Yeah, definitely call the vet. I have eaten the stone before, but I didn't know it was poisonous until... now... What is a flying fox?

i've rung and chatted with a vet, bless him, he says bring her strait in if she shows any signs of illness

as it is she looks fine and up to her usual tricks
