I'm sorry I'm asking so much tonight but its all just coming to me tonight.

I just recently got quite a few products from lush and they have a strong smell, it tones down a bit when it's used. But can it hurt the birds? Or because its all natural is it ok? The main thing I use is a shampoo and soap, the shampoo is banana and rosemary and the soap is lemony. I don't use it around the birds but since the smell does stick around after the shower is it harmful?

No need to ever apologize for asking questions. :)

I'm not familiar at all with "lush", so please forgive my ignorance. I use regular shampoo and moisterizing body wash, both of which leave a nice scent, and it hasn't harmed my birds.

So long as you rinse thoroughly, and the scent isn't overpowering, I don't think it will hurt your fids. :)

Mariah, welcome to the world of lies, near truths & slight of hand.....advertising & marketing of commerce in the US & other places, though other places often have stricter laws on what you can tell the consumer.....

I wasn't familiar with Lush products either, but found it's just another line of cosmetic products to separate women from their $$$.....first, a lot of of soaps, lotions, emollients, cleansers, etc., may use odor enhancers to make their fragrances stand out & last longer.....so Lush's Natural claim may well be authentic, but what definition of natural are they using.....if it is not a food product, you can claim just about anything.....

To keep from making this a long dissertation, you might want to take a look at this link.....

Cosmetics: When Organic isn?t Organic « The Green Life Online

Oh, almost forgot, some of these chemical odor enhancers can be harmful to our feathered friends.....you can always request a Material Safety Data Sheet on virtually any product, from the manufacturer, which you might want to do.....

Don't mind the picking...and...I usually go back & read what I post, but missed the word swap & I often deal with them when writing project specs.....thanks

Lush will be fine. Weco raises good points about many other brands and things, but Lush are a top brand who are all about fighting animal cruelty, testing, etc and their products are pretty much au natural.

Some contain things such as parabens (cancer causing chemicals etc) and so you can go on Lush's website and they give you a list of each ingredient in the product you're using so you can double check with the product you're using. (But since you're not using the product on your bird itself, I think you'll be fine anyway!) If it's all natural stuff - don't worry. The scent wont harm your fid as long as you're not wafting the bath bomb particles up their nose, I'm sure they'll be fine. :)

Long story short; with Lush I think you're okay :)
