What does it feel like? Are you hand feeding him? Is he breathing funny, acting funny?

It feels soft n sqwishy like and i don't know if its cuz his trying to sleep now but he won't step up n gives me a screechy chirping as to say leave me alone ....I googled it n i read the word crop ....were they store food.... Is that Wat a crop looks like? Ps I am feeding formula right now

Were you ever taught by anyone how to handfeed, you should have been shown how to tell between a full and empty crop and what a healthy crop should look and feel like. How old is cookie, is she breathing okay? I really think a vet visit is in order, at the very least, the vet may be able to show you how to properly handfeed.

I tried pellets but he does not like them I gwve him apple n his formula today
Only likes fruits n formula

Looks like a full crop to me. However if it feels squishy & isn't emptying, your bird could have a bit of thrush in the crop. Get the Vet to do a crop wash to see if there are any nasties in there.

I am dealing with a friends tiel that has thrush. I am treating it with Nilstat.

Some old remedies for a slow crop is fresh squeezed orange juice warmed & fed to the bird.

Well its morning n I checked on him his bqck to normal no lump looks like it was a crop

That is good news. Must have just eaten more formula than usual or had a big drink of water.

Have you not noticed it before after you have fed him his formula that the crop extends with the volume of food fed. They usually take approx 4 hours to digest their formula. If it stays in the crop to long it will begin to sour.
