sorry lets try this again

Innovative!

I love it and looks like Lucy loves it too.

I have to ask, that is not pressure treated wood you used, right?

You are aware that even if a bird's wings are clipped, a wind can give enough lift under the wings and a bird can take off. If something frightens them and that adrenal kicks in, a bird outside can also fly off.

First, I love the "outdoor playground" idea! :), but I can also see the concern above. 'Probably' won't ever happen, but it is a risk, and you do hear often enough of those kind of things happening. I see you can't move the stand since it's planted in the ground, and all those trees behind. Maybe at least put some kind of netting or mesh over all that foliage to make it harder for her to get lost inside the plants away from your view in the event she does get startled and heads for the trees. Also, might be good to work on recall training. Otherwise, she looks like she loves it!

the stand is not made out od pressure treat, its just pine 6x6's that equipment from work came on.

As far as her flying, she has been startled and she can only fly to the tree line which is about 10 feet away, she cant even make it to the trees

That's good if she can't fly too far out there, but "they say" that even with clipped wings, birds can still get away. A big gust of wind, adrenaline? I can't imagine being able to go too far, but I've heard it enough times that there must be some truth behind it. Anyway, it's not likely, and she looks happy.

LOVE it, nice pine 6x6's !! GREAT Work !!
I know how much that wood costs so free is AWESOME !!

The thing is, its been my experience that they just "surprise" you one day and fly much better than they did the "last time" you saw them fly
(since their feathers are always growing back in)

CAUTION !!

OK, I got the hint, I would hate to have her take off on me so I made this for her instead
