Lucky (single female) likes to bite, not really eat, grass. So my wife bought Lucky this 4" planter with wheatgrass growing in it. Lucky couldn't reach the grass so I took a cardboard box, about 4" x 7" x 9" and cut a hole in the box for the planter, so lucky could get on top of the box and bite the grass.
Lucky kept squeezing in beside the planter to get in the box, so I cut a small hole in the side of the box.
Now, I guess, Lucky is nesting in the box. She is ripping up the inside of the box all the time. And she stays in the box almost all of the time.
I don't know if this is a good thing.
