So...one of my last posts was about my cat and how sick he was getting and how I was going back to school...well my cats seizures have gotton worse. he's been having them while walking up the stairs so when he has them he falls down the stairs. he almost fell off the couch yesterday down a flight of stairs and he can't keep food down anymore since the seizures have started. Well i consulted a vet here at my school. she told me that a cat having a seizure is a bad thing and that an old cat having a seizure is a worse thing. My mom called our vet...they suggested euthenizing him tonight because of how bad his health is. My mom didnt want to euthenise him without me knowing so...wednesday is the dreaded night. i wont be on this forum much from now till maybe next week because of this. I am going to try to make the trip home wednesday to spend the day with my best friends and companion for 16 years <3

I am so sorry about your kitty. It does sound like it's time. He lived a good long time with you and was happy. Hold on to the wonderful memories you have of him. Thinking of you.:green1:

What a handsome boy! Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.:green1:

I had a similar situation with my childhood cat. He was 17 and the vet had to drain fluid from around his heart just to give me enough time to come home and say goodbye. Over time, it definitely gets easier but don't be surprised if it takes awhile - for the first few years I found it hard to visit my parents because it didn't seem right without him there. He'll never be replaced by another cat... he'll always hold a special place in your heart.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Remember what a wonderful life you gave him. :green1:
Great memories will be with you FOREVER
God Bless, be strong.
Take care

My sister had to put down our family cat of about 17 years this past summer. Even though I didn't particularly like the cat (his attitude was horrible, and he liked ONLY my sister) it was a sad time for the whole family.

It's always tough to have to do these things, sorry to hear about this ... :(
