Well we knew it would come. The old lady is coming up on 13 she been looking tired for a while know. We moved her to a cage on her own. We got her and her best friend when my twins was a year old. We lost him 2 years ago now it looks like it her time to. We are not a very happy household this evening. After all the years I have kept budgies I never get use to this.:( things was looking so good today as well but the past hour has changed that.

Oh I'm sorry :( We're thinking of you xx

I am so sorry. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

13 years is a long tiime for a budgie. Know that you must have done a great job with her, and made her life wonderful. It is never easy to lose any bird, but take solace in knowing you took excellent care of her. Or she would not have lived so long. Our thoughts are with you at this sad time.

Thanks everyone. She feel to sleep on my oldest sons lap this evening not to wake again. You never get use to this point in a pets life but we hope she had a happy life. We know she gave us lots of happy moments. Now we have to try to get my young son to understand. He has down syndrome. And understand something like this is not easy for him to do. He gone to bed very upset because he didn't get to see her before he went which is something he has aways done. Yes she was the grand old lady. One of the oldest I have ever had.
