Good Day All,

We have always wanted to adopt a feathered friend and are now beginning to look for a special bird to love and spoil.

We live in south Louisiana but are also near to Texas, Mississippi, Alabama and even Florida. We don't mind taking a trip to find our forever feathered baby. :blue:

We are open to the breed. As with many people we always hoped to have a bird that we could train to talk but would forgo that for cuddles instead if needed.

We have tons of love, time and attention to give a feathered friend that needs it.

Here's to a feathered future,

Bella

Hi :)

I raise birds and one of my main passions is helping people figure out which species is right for them! Here are some questions I usually start out with when someone comes to me looking for a bird.

-On the perfect day with your bird friend, describe how the day goes. What do you do? How many hours is your bird out? Is your bird on your shoulder? Passing from family member to family member? Hanging out on a play stand? Going to the beach with you? What is the perfect day with your new friend?

-Now what do you think the average day will be like? The worst day?

-What do the adults in the family do for a living? How often do you travel?

-how important is it that your bird get along with multiple family members? Are you OK with one person bird?

-Do you think this will be your only bird or do you see yourself possibly having more than one in the future? If more, how important

-how important is it to you that your bird talk or whistle?

-how important is color? What about size?

-which is more important; that your bird talk, or that you be able to hear yourself think?

-Do you own or rent? How close are your neighbors?

-Do you have predators such as dogs and cats? How do your other pets act toward birds, squirrels, etc outside?

-Do you have children? How old? Roommates?

-How much space in the home do you have for a cage?

-How personally will you, your spouse, or your kids take it if you get bitten?

-do you have a budget?

-Are you open to an adult bird?

-what first caught your attention about parrots? What convinced you this was the right choice? What made you think this is the right time?

On a good day it will be much like it is now except better.

We get up every morning and take the furbabies out, fix coffee, all eat breakfast and start our day.
We are blessed that one of us are always at home and normally both home.
Our furbabies are our family and participate in most everything with us.
Our feather baby will wake up, come out of his bed area and get fed.
Of course we usually have a play, exercise a cuddle fest for awhile.
We work from home so the fun will last throughout the day.
The feather baby will have toys and perches all over the house. :)
Our feather baby will be out his cage most all the time until bedtime.

The average day will be much the same.
We are business owners and work from home
A bad day (well not bad) my adult grandson will stay here if we must travel for a couple days. Fur and
Feather babies will know him well as he visits often and loves animals as well.

If something ever happens to us my grandson will be their primary caregivers.

Although we have adult family in the area we don't have too many visitors.

This will probably be out only bird.

I hope the bird can talk or wistle.

We own our home and neighbors aren't too close.

We have 2 small furbabies that are laid back and calm.

No children

We are blessed with a large home with plenty of room for flight and a large cage/Avery.

Getting bitten isn't an issue and not freak out.

Yes I have a personal budget for what I'll pay.

Open to an adult bird

I owned a Quaker parrot for many years.
